Above Skopje’s Old Bazaar, Mustafa Pasha Mosque is one of the city’s most striking Ottoman-era landmarks. Completed in 1492, it was commissioned by Mustafa Pasha, an Ottoman statesman, and remains an active place of worship more than five centuries later.
The mosque’s single dome, slender minaret and marble-columned portico reward a closer look, while its elevated courtyard offers views across the old city.
