Built in 1969 as a broadcast antenna tower and opened to the public in 1980, it sits at the geographic heart of the city, making the panorama from the observation deck feel less like a tourist photo opportunity and more like a geography lesson — Han River cutting south, the palace districts to the north, and an endless grid of apartments dissolving into the mountains on every horizon.
