The Royal Palace of Naples (Palazzo Reale di Napoli) faces Piazza del Plebiscito with a long façade of arches and statues. Construction began in the early 1600s under the Spanish viceroys, to a design by architect Domenico Fontana. Today, it is one of the best places to explore the city’s royal history in the heart of Naples.
