Dubai Frame is a 150-metre-high landmark in Zabeel Park, designed as a giant picture frame for the city. Its sky bridge offers a striking contrast: look north towards the older neighbourhoods of Deira and Bur Dubai, and south towards the towers of modern Dubai.
Opened in 2018, the structure tells a story of the city's rapid transformation through exhibitions on its past and imagined future. The view is the main event, though. The framing concept could have felt gimmicky, but seeing the low-rise city and the newer skyline from the same vantage point makes Dubai's scale and pace of change tangible.
A transparent section of the sky bridge floor adds a thrill for visitors comfortable with heights; there's solid flooring alongside it if you prefer. Book tickets in advance through the official website, particularly for sunset, when the light is lovely but crowds tend to gather.
