Rozenhoedkaai — literally the Quay of the Rosary — is the single most photographed spot in Bruges, and for good reason. Standing at the junction where the Dijver canal meets the Groenerei, you get that quintessential view: a gentle curve of dark water reflecting medieval step-gabled facades, a stone bridge framing the distant Belfry tower, and weeping willows trailing into the canal below. It sounds like a postcard cliché until you're actually standing there at dusk watching the light turn amber on 600-year-old brickwork, and then it makes complete sense why painters and photographers have been returning to this exact corner for centuries.
